No bank connection required
Statement Budget never connects to your bank. You choose the file, and you choose when.
In PDF, CSV and OFX files, account and card numbers of 8 digits or more are cut to their last four digits in your browser before anything is sent.
Your name, your address and short codes like a UK sort code are sent as they appear. Screenshots and scanned PDFs are sent as images, so crop out anything you'd rather not share.
The file is sent once to our AI provider, Anthropic, to be sorted. Under its commercial terms, Anthropic doesn't train its models on it and deletes it within 30 days, or keeps it longer only if it's flagged for a safety review. We don't store it at all.

Is this a subscription?
No. You pay US$27 once. The sheet is yours to keep, and the reader is included for at least 3 years with no extra fees.
Does it work with my bank?
We've tested the reader with PDF, CSV and OFX statements in the formats of US, UK, Canadian and Australian banks. It also reads screenshots of your banking app and scanned PDFs. If it can't read your bank's statement, email us and we'll refund you.
Is my bank data safe?
You never connect your bank or share a password. Account and card numbers in PDF, CSV and OFX files are cut to their last four digits before they leave your browser, and we never store your file. See how it's handled.
Do I need to be good at spreadsheets?
No. You fill in a few boxes in the Setup tab once: your income, your spending limits and your bills. After that, you only paste.
Google Sheets or Excel?
Google Sheets only. You need a free Google account. Setup is easiest on a computer.
Does it work on my phone?
The reader works on your phone, including screenshots of your banking app. The sheet opens in the Google Sheets app, but setting it up and pasting are easier on a computer.
Can I add my credit card too?
Yes. Read your checking and credit card statements and paste both into the sheet. Card payments from your checking account are recognized as transfers between your own accounts, so they aren't counted twice.
What if the reader gets a category wrong?
You can change any category before you copy. When you pick one for a merchant, the reader remembers it next time on that device. Anything it isn't sure about is marked Review category.
Which currencies does it handle?
The reader reads the currency on your statement, and the sheet works in the currency you choose in Setup.
Can my partner and I use it together?
Yes. Share the sheet with your partner in Google Sheets and read both of your statements.
What will I see on my card statement?
The charge comes from Hotmart, our payment processor. If your card is in a currency other than the one you pay in, your bank may add a foreign transaction fee.
How do refunds work?
Within 30 days of buying, ask for a refund through Hotmart and you get the full US$27 back, no questions asked. This doesn't affect your rights under consumer law.
